Worked as part of a team setting up Essex Young Farmers County Show; was part of the team which gained the world record for Field to Loaf. Spent a day's work experience with a Grain Superintendent loading a wheat vessel at Ipswich docks. Gained work experience working for a Master builder and carpenter in Essex. Helped setting up and manning stands at the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day 2015 and 2016.

Farming background

My grandparents are established farmers and I have been brought up on and around farming from a young age. I have had experience working for 5 Essex farms since September 2016 and am now looking for permanent employment with a small to medium sized farm During Autumn / Winter 2016/17 I worked on a 3000 acre farm in Essex cultivating, rolling and applying slug pellets and Avadex. Following on from this I worked for a 6000 acre farm in Essex during Spring 2017 predominantly worked on de-stoning and the Richard Lapage Wonder Wheel for potato irrigation (http://www.fwi.co.uk/arable/potato-roundtable-6-challenges-facing-the-potato-industry.htm). I have also worked as a groundsman for a Council up-keeping lawns, hedges etc and as a general handyman for a let property business duties included general building maintenance, lawn and hedge cutting etc.

Hobbies

Ex Member Halstead YFC, I enjoy outdoor activities such as sailing, cycling and camping and spending time with my family and our pets love shooting clay and pests
