Milking 350 cattle in 12/12 herringbone parlour, maintaining high hygiene standards in the parlour and dairy, and noticing mastitis. Calving and calf rearing with a focus on low calf mortality. Maintaining high hygiene conditions by regular disinfecting of calf housing, preventative treatment against illness and limiting spread between calves, noticing and treating illness, and following a treatment plan for scouring calves, pasteurising colostrum and making up powdered milk for feeding, tagging and record keeping. General yard work including scraping out, bedding and tractor work.  Organic Dairy Farm, Cumbria. June 2017. General farm worker and milker. Milking Ayrshire cattle and maintaining high sanitary conditions in the dairy and milking parlour to meet organic standards. Making and packaging organic yoghurt, cheese and curd cheese, and selling it at farmer's markets. Farm and Butcher's, Bedfordshire. April, May 2017. General farm worker and lamber. Lambing (160 ewes) and working with stock (sheep, pigs, beef cattle, chickens and geese).
