Having worked on mixed farms for the last 30 years I have experience of most operations, eg combine, drilling, spraying. I've worked on Arable and Vegetable farms as well as TMR on Dairy farms and all Muck and Slurry operations. Also driven Rape swather, Quads, Mini Diggers 3CX, 7.5 ton lorry.

Other livestock experience

I have been responsible for running Dairy, Beef and Sheep units over the years. I started off working on a dairy farm before college then after college ran a 200 cow dairy for three years. I developed a conservation grazing fold of Highland cattle in Sussex and a pedigree organic herd of Hereford cattle in Essex. Sheep experience ranges from an outdoor flock on the Welsh boarder to a pedigree Lleyn flock in Suffolk and a Suffolk cross flock. Other livestock I've worked with include outdoor pigs, Organic laying hens and rare breeds of Goat, Sheep and Pigs. Also I have been responsible for all associated livestock records and pedigree registrations. Currently have a working Dog.

Employment History I managed the privately owned 610Ha Denston Hall Estate. 300 ewes and small pedigree Red Poll suckler herd in parkland grazing all in HLS, The arable area was on a contract farming agreement. I was the main point of contact for the contractor and liaised with him regarding the operations on the Estate. There was also a large shoot that I oversaw. I managed the owner’s previous farm prior to him purchasing Denston Hall Estate. This consisted of 35 pedigree sucklers and 125 ewes in organic production. Contracted Arable area and shoot.
