*John Cambridge and son Ballycastle Farm – Northern Ireland Lambed a thousand indoor mixed breed ewes Assisted with care of 80 head Angus heard calving Spread across 2 farms. * Piercebridge Organic Farm – Hodgsons and Son Responsible for collecting produce from 5000 hens looking after a flock of organic and inorganic sheep, beef livestock and help sort out the fat bed and breakfast pigs, and plucking fat hens to sell in the shop. Vaccinating, tagging, weighing fat lambs, preparing tups, and other everyday sheep duties Cattle care, health check, worming, rotational grazing movements. * Sedgewick and sons Sedgefield Milked 360 Holstein dairy herd, three times a day, working 12 days on then a weekend off. Milked on a morning and afternoon, as well as frequent night milking's in busy times. Calve cows, tagging, dehorning, feed calves colostrum and the cow or maiden heifer revive water to reduce the chances of DA after calving. Checking in calf heifers and bulling heifers grazed outdoors during the summer with the bull Vaccinated cows Preparing for vet day Maintenance in the parlour *Andrew Leggott – Great Smeaton- May 2017 to June 2018 7 Lely Robots milking 350 pedigree Holsteins, doing everyday duties to maintain both the robots and the expanding herd from the milkers down to the calves. *Wilkinsons and Sons Milking 560 cows twice a day on a TMR Ration,with approx. 900 acres of arable and grass land , working alongside the Herdsman, Management and accountant for dual progression for myself and herd, whilst being proactive in day to day running of the farm and the maintenance. Assisting the day to day running of the farm whether that be with the vet or maintenance around the farm, livestock or machinery.
