Checking in calf heifers and bulling heifers grazed outdoors during the summer with the bull Vaccinated cows Preparing for vet day Maintenance in the parlour *Andrew Leggott – Great Smeaton- May 2017 to June 2018 7 Lely Robots milking 350 pedigree Holsteins, doing everyday duties to maintain both the robots and the expanding herd from the milkers down to the calves. *Wilkinsons and Sons Milking 560 cows twice a day on a TMR Ration,with approx. 900 acres of arable and grass land , working alongside the Herdsman, Management and accountant for dual progression for myself and herd, whilst being proactive in day to day running of the farm and the maintenance. Assisting the day to day running of the farm whether that be with the vet or maintenance around the farm, livestock or machinery. |
