My previous experiences with livestock include: • Qualified in AI • Monitor thermometers, gauges, and chart recorders to detect equipment malfunctions and to verify compliance with incubator temperature and ventilation standards. • Periodically inspects eggs in incubator trays to ascertain hatching progress, and orders removal of chicks. • Making sure game is kept safe from predators (birds or animals that compete with or may harm them). • Experienced in managing the day to day running of the herd Knowledge of grazing system. • Experienced in milking large herds (over 200) • Checking animals for sickness and other disorders • Carrying out farm administrations such as forms for government grants and subsides, health and safety, benchmarking, and registration of livestock onto Aphis on line system. • Have some knowledge in shearing sheep

Hobbies

During my spare time, I like help local dairy farmers with their milking duties and other general farm work. Also, I get involved with local shooting syndicates on handling dogs and picking up game. I have currently joined BASC as I believe in preserving the environment. Lastly, I enjoy hiking around the Mourne mountains at the weekends.
