Experience includes but is not limited to: combining, carting, cultivations, crop spraying, irrigation, bed operations, and working abroad. Employment History: Present Greenstead Green, Halstead, Essex The family farm has been the start to my farming career and education. A 350 acre farm, growing mainly group 4 soft wheats, feed barley, legumes and soya. Often help with arable operations, from combining to carting, as well as building and machinery maintenance. Heavily involved in the decision making on farm, such as crop rotations and machinery changes that will improve both the efficiency and productivity of the farm. February 2019 - April 2019  Condobolin, NSW, Australia Casual farm hand on 3000ha aggregation, using mainly flood irrigation to grow specialist seed crops. Main roles included operating Case Patriot 36m crop sprayer, cultivations, maintenance, repairs, fabrication and farm hand duties. October 2018 - January 2019 Munglinup, WA Harvest casual, working on large dryland broadacre aggregations in excess of 10,000ha in Western Australia. Main roles included operating various John Deere combine models, including use of 30 tonne chaser bins on John Deere crawlers. Communication was a vital skill due to the large team environment. Also responsible for pre-harvest maintenance, and check and repair of breakdowns when required. All machinery required use of GPS on RTK signal to operate a controlled traffic system. July - October 2017 and 2018 Salisbury, Wiltshire Harvest worker operating Quadtrac 500, mainly on primary cultivations and oilseed rape establishment using Vaderstad and Simba/Great Plains equipment. Mainly lone working with problem solving and timekeeping essential to keep productivity high. Responsibilities also included pre-season and ongoing maintenance, general tractor and loader work and workshop maintenance of other equipment. Good GPS knowledge and operation was essential for this role, as well as quick learning of new systems. Farmed areas covered a 50 mile radius from the base yard, providing vast amounts of road work with wide, heavy and long equipment, often unescorted. March- June 2018; October- November 2017  Ashbourne, Derbyshire Driver of Fendt 820, mainly used for potato and maize carting across Staffordshire and Derbyshire, using 16 -18 trailers for farms and anaerobic digesters. High amounts of road work was covering large areas which included wet, steep fields requiring experience of where the high sided trailer could be safely manoeuvred. Spring work consisted of destoning for potatoes and silage carting. July 2015- Sept 2016 Blithbury, Rugeley, Staffordshire Industrial placement year as part of undergraduate degree, working as a full time member of the team. A wide range of work undertaken, from machinery operation to team management. Driver of the second combine during harvest 2016, organising my own team of trailer drivers. This also involved using Greenstar GPS equipment, including yield mapping. Main driver of John Deere 9630t crawler during the autumn, carrying out subsoiling and secondary cultivations. Relief sprayer driver of a self-propelled 32m Agrifac condor spraying combinable crops, and using gatekeeper software for recommendations, doses and spray records. Long traveling times were involved, so pre-planning chemical usage and water requirements were key to instruct bowser movements. Spring work involved destoning within a team of four. Timekeeping skills were essential due to long and changeable hours, including nightshifts. Other responsibilities included stock fencing, wood chipping, loader work, building maintenance, welding and fabrication of in-house farm innovations, carting corn and feeding/bedding of livestock.

Main hobbies include the restoration of classic/vintage tractors and machinery back to working condition, which are taken to public and private working demonstrations. Cars and trucks are becoming of equal interest after taking on big restoration/modifying projects of two classic mini coopers, which have been great for developing mechanical skills. Also spent time clay pigeon shooting, game shooting, and pigeon and rabbit shooting for crop protection.
