Farming background

From a family of agricultural engineers, I have been involved from a very early age. My first paid-work was during school holidays when I would pick and grade vegetables. As a school leaver I worked seasonally on various mixed and livestock farms eventually settling in to a long-term role on a large arable estate working primarily as a combine/sprayer operator while also carrying out all other operations to a lesser extent. More recently I have been employed as the working farm manager on a medium-sized arable estate where I have got to grips with a broad range of administrative tasks in addition to carrying out all combinable crop operations.

I enjoy spending time with family, shooting and fieldsports, motorcycling, playing the guitar and lots more besides...
