Experienced manager/stock person 38 years experience.Currently Managing a herd of Pedigree Highland cattle near Inverness and running small estate. Also responsible for setting up and maintenance of a holiday self catering business. I am.looking for a new position and a hew challenge. Have run 250 sucker cow herd and followers and have wide tractor experience on many arable farms throughout Scotland. Love the West coast as I am originally from Glencoe. Can relocate to other areas if the job is the right one. I have a partner and we have grown up children but they do not live with us . Freelance operative working through Highland Machinery ring based mainly in agricultural settings. All stock work including calving and lambing's. All types of arable work. Working for shooting estates and fencing contractors. Handyman duties including building maintenance, basic electrical, plumbing and joinery skills. Instructor at rural skills college for adults with additional needs. Working for a small shooting estate including pheasant rearing. Maintenance of private airstrip and off road driving course. Maintenance of all machinery and fences. Managing the welfare of 250 head of pedigree cattle and followers including all the necessary paperwork. Managing arable crops. Shepherd looking after 1000 head of sheep and 1000 beef cows. Renewal of a large area of fencing and most of the arable work required. Responsibility for managing large potato store including seasonal staff. Preparing orders for customers and ensuring accurate distribution of orders. Responsibility for large underground irrigation system and the maintenance of pumps and plant. Rearing of young dairy stock and relief milking Running and maintenance of boat hire within holiday complex. Maintenance of holiday chalets grass cutting and gardening .
