Farming background

I have come from a farming background and lived on a farm until I moved to Reading. Ended up getting into the building trade but I have helped out on that farm over the years. That consisted of mainly helping out with the animals, hay making, relief combine driving and some cultivations. Decided I wanted to do farming full time in 2016. Spent summer 2016 working for a large straw merchant. Spent harvest 2017 working where I was employed for the summer as combine driver and to do most of the cultivation work. Done loads of general farm jobs when the combine wasn’t going like fencing and putting In gates, tree limbing, hedge cutting and topping. After drilling was finished my boss decided to keep me on until Christmas to help out with other jobs on the farm. finished my second season (June-November 2018) working for Paul doing basically all the same jobs as 2017, combine driving, cultivation’s, ploughing, little bit of drilling and other GFW. Qualified carpenter so have a good eye for detail and done a lot of building work, landscaping, gardening and roofing. Currently doing the third season working for Paul so looking for a permanent job after harvest
