Over the past five years I have built up a successful herd of beef cattle, initially starting with purchasing 4 bullocks and currently I am now up to 120 head. Maintaining this heard involves buying livestock from both markets and private vendors, rearing calves from as young as seven days old, working out feed rations and mixes, all aspects of animal health and husbandry, land management with the associated mechanical and machinery task and liaising with feed merchants, vets, auctioneers, livestock hauliers, cattle dealer and abattoirs. In 2014 I saw there was a niche in the market for calf dehorning and since then I have set up a successful dehorning service.

I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic farmer’s son who has a passion for agriculture and livestock farming. I have been immersed in farming all my life and have experience in most aspects of British Agriculture. I am now seeking a new challenge, either full or part time within the industry to further develop my knowledge and experiences. I have a hard work ethic and I am able to use my own initiative as well as work well within a team. I take great pride in my work and set very high standards for myself in order to create and maintain a good reputation within the agricultural community. I am a first class communicator and able to adapt my approach to suit each individual and situation accordingly. I posses excellent organisational and record keeping skills. I thrive under pressure meeting deadlines and targets. I have the will, enthusiasm and determination to drive a business forward.

Farming background

I have grown up on a 350acre arable farm. Whilst attending North Devon College i worked part time on a dairy farm and carried out most day to day duties. Since then i have gone self employed working on many mixed farms having worked part time for the last 3 years on a beef and sheep farm. I have also built up a herd of 250 cattle that i take through to fat and also a business dehorning calves across the south west.


I enjoy most sports but in particular i like motocross, fishing and rugby.
