I was brought up on a dairy /beef farm.  Trained Ai/ embryo transfer at 16.  I am also trained in equine Ai.  I was managing a 500 cow Spring calving herd with huge results 97%conception rate on cows in a 10 week block and 100% on 132 heifers, raised yield by 500,000 litres. I managed all grazing herd health, etc.  You are more than welcome to speak with vet or farm owners.  I moved to a high yielding herd as farm manager in January but in June  the company (Fh Hiams) announced their departure from dairy farming, since then I have been managing a 1200 cow herd  and followers with massive results, leading a 15 person team I have now shown my ability and commitment by making this unit profitable for the first time in a number of years, i resolved a 23 fail on bacto scan and have since gone in to help other units achieve results of 12 to 19 .I am at a point in my life where I want to settle down, enjoy and do my job 100% and at the same time spend some quality time with my partner and our fab little 4 yr old son.  Hope I am of interest to you.

I have been with stock all my life , growing up on a dairy/beef farm.  We did lots of showing at top level and have done loads of judging of dairy and beef cattle.  I have been a lover of breeding and genetics.  I trained for Ai at 16 and followed that shortly after with embryo transfer.   I have been in charge of stock for years and years.  I have a keen eye for health problems, with no vet routine visits needed on a 2000 head unit,

Farming background

Home for years then spent some years relief milking and Inseminating , serving up to 150 heifers in one day.   I then went to manage a spring calving herd, growing the herd from 350 to 500, growing yields from 3900 to 5550.  I then went to a high yielding TMR herd as farm manager.  I have had fantastic results moving cows to grass and with conception, unfortunately I didn't have long enough there to make a huge impact.  FH Hiams have decided to close their dairy units, I have been farm manager on a 1300 cow herd through a 64 point rotary managing all aspects of health/ fertility/costs, etc., only using a vet to pd, I have more recently trained to scan myself.
