Operated tractors up to 270 bhp with a rage of different equipment on such as trailers, toppers, balers etc I have done a season on a big square baler making nearly 5000 bales I have done a lot with a telehandler such as wrapping and stacking round bales, stacking square bales and general yard use like feeding up and bedding up.

I have lived on a farm all my life helping out with all the day to day running of the farm eg lambing, calving and animal husbandry tasks. I have also had a wide range of experience at college with lots of different animals and crops, since August 2016 I have been on a large Cattle and Arable Farm as a stock man.

Farming background

I was born and raised on a hill farm in Lancashire with 800 sheep and 50 suckler cows. After school I spent two years at Newton Rigg college learning a wide range of skills over a lot of different aspects of agriculture this also involved 1 day a week work experience which I did on a dairy farm. Then I moved to Cambridgeshire to work on a large Beef and Arable farm with 300 Commercial Limousins and 100 Pedigree Limousins and a fat yard with enough room to finish around 500 head of Cattle and 3000 acres of Arable cropping ground.
