Competent rider in all situations. • Experience with fencing, both electric, barb wire and stock netting. Also experience with quad bike Rappa fencing machines.

• Over 8 years experience working with all different types of livestock, both pedigree and composite herds/flocks, both in the UK and Aboard. • Shepherding- Experience 1600 Masham ewes, mixed indoor and outdoor lambing. 300 Pole Dorset X Mule ewes, indoor lambing. All management related tasks, lambing, castration, worming, vaccination, scanning, tagging etc. Training and working border collies. Multiple seasons experience lambing on different farms with different breeds and farming systems - mainly in Scotland. • Cattle- New Zealand, 1350 Frisian X and Jersey X, through 60 bail rotary shed. Foot trimming and Calf rearing experience. Australia- 3000 Intensive dairy heifer rearing. Taking calves from 6 weeks through to until 3 months before calving. All welfare management including foot trimming, AI Program, Genetics, Pregnancy testing, worming and vaccinations. Beef Cattle Station, Australia- Mustering, drafting and sorting cattle for sale. Tagging, branding, castrating, de-horning, weaner education, yard building and maintenance of water bores and troughs, pumps and diesel engines. Barb wire fencing. Loading and unloading of road trains. Cattle Sale Yards, Australia- Tagging and drafting cattle for sale. Bio-security processing. Feeding. Cleaning yards and yard repairs. Experience with Buffalo and Horses. Ashdown Forest, Sussex UK - Conservation grazing heathland with pedigree Riggit Galloway Cattle, Hebridean Sheep and Exmoor Ponies. • Isle of Wight, Duration for 1 year. Main Responsibilities: Day to day welfare of 1600 Masham ewes. Indoor and Outdoor Lambing. All the yearly management involved in running a flock, Lambing/Worming/Vaccinating/Scanning etc. During lambing time this position also involved teaching and supervising veterinary students. Training and working Border Collies. • New Zealand: Main Responsibilities: Milking 1350 cows through 60 Bail rotary shed. All welfare management and treatment of lameness and mastitis. South Australia - Main Responsibilities: Rearing dairy heifers from 6 weeks through to 3 months before calving. AI program. Grassland management and electric fencing. • Mount Dension and Napperby Cattle Stations, Northern Territory, Australia: Main Responsibilities: Fence line repairs. Water Bore maintenance. Cattle Mustering with motor bike and helicopter. Trucking and movement of cattle. Experience with Buffalo. • I am fully up to date on all current animal welfare issues in the UK. I am fully informed about the current bTB regulations, movement records (including the new 10 mile rule and combined CPHs), medical records, pedigree records. I have a keen interest in genetic improvements with breeding livestock and improved grassland management.
