I have a farming background of sheep and cattle on my family's farm. I studied at Lackham college where I gained at foundation degree in agricultural management. During my studies I work on a dairy farm in Chippenham where once I had finished at Lackham I became assistant herdsman. I also worked on the Lackham estate where I would feed the dairy herd and tractor work. From July to October 2015 I work at an estate over the harvest. Duties were grain kart, topping stubble, loading lorries and sub soiling. Spent October to February in Australia working on a 10,000 acres arable farm and a 800 milking herd. On returning home I got a job as a calf rearer/ stockman. I also took time to work on the family farm and to apply for a farming business tenancy which I unfortunately just miss out on coming second.
