Farming background

I have worked as a shepherd for the last 4 years, lived on a beef and pig farm my whole life. worked sheepdogs. I have a subsidiary diploma in agriculture.

Grown up on a cattle farm working and learning about livestock from a young age. I have also worked on many farms with experienced stockmen and shepherds. I have learnt to work as a team or to use my own initiative and manage livestock and records. Also maintaining fences and erecting new ones, and working with most types of agricultural machinery.   I have also trained, and worked sheepdogs to trial standard. I have two good working dogs at the moment.  I have a bronze and sliver shearing certificate. In 2012 I was runner up in south east young shepherd of the year. I am a good time keeper, punctual and organised.  During the summer of 2010 I worked on a dairy farm.  My duties included milking, washing down, feeding and bedding down cattle with telehandler. also hay making.

I ride horses and love to train my sheepdogs
