Farming background

Employment history: I have been working on dairy and arable farms since I was fourteen years old. I learned to milk dairy herds and look after livestock, including calves, sheep and horses, all whilst I was still in school, studying for GCSE and AS-levels. For the past 2 years I have been working in Australia on some of the largest arable and cotton farms. I have got a great deal of experience driving some very powerful tractors with advanced GPS systems. In terms of spraying, I have completed 10,000ha of cotton spraying. I also operated a combine harvester over two harvest seasons. In the first season I drove a JD 9770sts 35ft front and harvested almost 6,000ha. In the second season I drove a JD 9760sts 36ft front and harvested around 2,000ha. I have experience working in small and large teams of agricultural workers and I enjoy being part of a team, being active and getting a job well done. I recently arrived home from Australia as my 2-year visa came to an end. I am very keen to get going with a new job in Great Britain as soon as possible.
