Farming background

I have just had 2 seasons back in agriculture doing seasonal and harvest work on a mixed Arable/ Dairy farm in Lincolnshire. I was baling straw and grass with a Welger 520 round baler (6 Foot Bales) along with carting some of them and using a JCB TM310 and JCB 531-70 Tele Handlers, and grain carting. Mowing grass for the dairy unit with twin mowers. I was also preparing potato land and harvesting 200 acres of potatoes driving along side a Grimme GT170 harvester catching them into boxes, so a lot of trailer work was undertaken which included road work. Part of the job included some ploughing cultivation work using a sumo, flat lift , cussions drag along with using discs. Some exposure to GPS (Greenstar) I also did muck carting and spreading with a Bunning spreader and some hedgecutting. The tractors I used were up to date (mainly 2 year old) John Deere 6930/ 190R/ 6920 tractors and Massey Ferguson 6944 and 6480 tractor. Some welding and workshop repair work was also undertaken along with some irrigation work, repairing potato boxes along with using a forklift. I was working between 80 and 100 hours a week whilst living in a flat on site. In the past I have worked for an agricultural contractor for 5 years. I can use trailer's safely and can plough, forage do most cultivation and hedge cut. Can also weld/ fabricate and do general maintenance and repairs.
