I am looking for seasonal or full time agricultural contracting work. I have spent the last year with working a beef rearing unit in Dumfries and Galloway and the 3 previous years in Co. Durham and New Zealand with agricultural contractors. I was born an raised on a dairy farm in Northern Ireland and breeding Clydesdale horses. I have many years tractor and telehandler driving experience and servicing machinery. I also have my HGV class 1 license and I am a time served Electrician. I also have several years fencing and draining experience.   I am a dedicated, hard working person who is will to work until the job is done. I can work myself or as part of a team, I don't shy away from any tasks and have a good sense of humour.

15+ yrs milking cows in different parlours and herd sizes. Most recently (apart from home) I have milked in a 50 point rotary parlour milking 400 cows. Also I have worked with beef and sheep for a few years.

Farming background

Most farm work comes from living on my father's farm and I moved to Scotland to a 400 cow herd then onto 120 cow herd plus beef finishing unit. I spent two seasons working in NZ working to agricultural contractors, seeding, drilling, power harrowing, ploughing, silage and maize work. Also mowing, raking and baling. I have also been working with contractor specialising in effluent and solid spreading. In 2016 I was working for a large contractor in Co Durham do all aspects of contracting work. I spent last year working in a beef finishing unit and cast cow dealer in Dumfries and Galloway.
