Use of hand piece or over the board dagging or shearing and wool handling. Use of weighing implements for sheep, cattle and deer. Use of conveyor for drenching and injecting sheep.

Extensive experience medicating sheep in the yards. Lambing/tailing/weaning/marking up/shearing/shifting large mobs. Indoor and outdoor lambing. Catching and lambing ewes. Shepherded the indoor lambing of 3000 ewes. Lambed outside, one dog. Mothering on of lambs. Pet lambs. Work with bulls and cattle inside and outside of yards. Deer work in yards, medicating/weighing/drafting. Milking 1000 cows through a 60 bale rotary. Assisting calvings. Checking for dirty or mastitis cows. I take pride in stock welfare, spotting an ailment as early as possible for the best possible recovery.

From 17000 su (sheep, deer and cattle)in New Zealand, to lambing 3000 indoors in Scotland, to working helping with flocks of 20, horse work, milked 1000 cows, milked goats, been on a small shearing run, have done a hay harvest, small amount of tractor work, worked on a quad and side by side day in day out, owned my own team of three working dogs; has all provided a wide, varied experience in the agricultural sector.


Horse ride, walk, sea swim, hunt, fish, socialise with friends.
