CV Headline

Recently completed the Level 3 Technical Diploma in Agriculture and currently work on a 350+ cow dairy farm in Somerset. I am now looking to improve my overall knowledge by seeking employment on a mixed dairy and arable farm or for an agricultural contracting business. Crop production and machinery operation have always been my biggest passion alongside livestock, so I am very keen to find a position where I would be equally involved in all aspects. Ideally looking for work in or around Dorset or happy to relocate to Somerset, Devon or Cornwall, providing there is accommodation. I am a safe and sensible individual who takes pride in their work, always making sure that jobs I complete are done to the best of my ability and in a safe and efficient manner. Those who are happy to share their knowledge and experience with me will result in a quick learning individual who would be delighted to put the hours in and be part of a team for years to come

Farming background

Agriculture wise I have recently begun work on a productive dairy farm in Somerset where I have been increasing my skills with the day to day running of a dairy farm. Aside from that it has been self taught and college taught knowledge, as well as a good amount of practical, hands on experience gained through the college, consisting of tractor driving, milking, husbandry tasks, livestock management and general farm work. Aside from agriculture I worked at a supermarket for 6 years, which I started upon finishing my first college course. My roles there varied from general shop floor and admin work, a team leader position, security and home delivery driving. I have gained various essential skills and ethics through this job, which although completely different from agriculture, will help me with future employment.

Hobbies

Currently working as many hours as I get given so hobbies have been shut away! Keen landscape, livestock and machinery photographer. I enjoy walking, running and cycling so often find moments to capture with my camera while Im out down the tracks. I am highly passionate about the countryside so spend as much time as I can out in it, one of the many reasons of choosing an agricultural career.
