Farming background

During my time farming in New Zealand I was given the opportunity to run my own dairy run-off farm, leading and managing a small team. In Australia I was fortunate enough to work in a large team combining and harvesting, using the latest technology on a huge scale. This is when I gained the most experience of fixing the team’s machinery in remote environments. As I have spent most of my career being self-employed, it is vital that my enthusiasm and attention to detail is high to ensure the farmers I work for are running a productive enterprise. My clients trust me to not only do a good job first time but also allow me to make my own decisions and advise them on the best products, equipment and methods to get the job done. I am keen to formalize my experience in the industry by attending college and enjoy researching updates in the farming industry and use these skills in a more managerial role.
