I am a 24 year old male looking for work on preferably arable or arable/beef. I am currently working in Kansas and have been here since April 2019 and will be back in the UK in mid December. In the spring time I was in the workshop going through all the trucks getting them ready for the harvest season. I am a truck driver in the current position which includes hauling the grain from the fields to the elevator but also involves moving oversize loads (combines, tractor/grain carts and double hoppers) from each harvest stop. Crops we cut have been wheat, OSR, soybeans, corn and sunflowers. I spent a couple of days driving a combine in wheat and OSR. Using John Deere 8R tractors and S770/S780 combine harvesters. I’ve been driving a Kenworth T800 with a 40 foot grain trailer.

I am a 24 year old British male currently working in the United States for a custom harvesting crew as a truck driver/machinery operator. In the UK I was working for an agricultural machinery dealership as a heavy equipment mechanic with 6 year’s experience in the industry and a level 3 qualification from Bishop Burton agricultural college. November 2016 – April 2019 Guy Machinery LTD, Gisburn, Lancashire. Who are Valtra, Krone, Polaris and Can-Am dealers. My main work was on the larger machinery such as tractors and forage harvesters. Carrying out anything from servicing to gearbox rebuilds. During the summer months I worked out of the van as one of the mobile mechanics being on call. Also worked for the sister company Guy Contractors LTD during the summer, tractor driving on evenings and weekend. Tasks include silage haulage, tedding grass, rowing up and square bale wrapping. Driving N and T series Valtras. April 2016 - November 2016 Brian Feather Ltd, Commercial Vehicle Repairs, Keighley, West Yorkshire Mechanic carrying out servicing, repairs, MOT work, safety inspections, engine replacements, clutches, etc. on heavy and light commercials. Delivering vehicles to and from customers, driving from the small 7.5 ton twin axle trucks up to the 4-axle 32 ton machines. May 2014 - April 2016 Wharfedale Tractors Ltd, Agricultural Machinery Suppliers, Pool, North Yorkshire Mechanic undertaking most agricultural machinery repairs such as splitting tractors to replace clutch units, full engine rebuilds, servicing at the required intervals, fitting loaders, and McHale product support. Carrying out general welding jobs such as welding loader brackets onto implements and hydraulic pipework repairs, over the phone support and some experience in the parts department. Also including a small amount of machinery demonstrations to potential customers.
