Farming background

I have been brought up in farming from a young age. My grandfather is a retired shepherd. I spent weekends and school holidays helping with gathering, clipping, dipping, dosing and tagging. Working with both sheep and cattle. I knew from an early age that farming is the career path I would like to follow. I am honest, hard working, reliable and I would be keen to undertake any training that would assist me in this position. Although I attended Oatridge Agricultural College. I left 5 months into the course as I was disillusioned with it. I did learn about tractor maintenance, sheep breeds, disease, paring sheep feet, dressing cattle, fencing and Health and Safety. I am a practical, methodical, person and keen to continue gaining experience working in all aspects of agriculture. I'm currently doing my driving test i can get one of my family member to drop me off and pick me up until i pass my driving test.
