I have spent the last 14 years driving for an agricultural contractor on a full and part time basis. During this time I have gain experience with a large amount of tractors and machinery. Tractors are mainly new holland, from 110 hp to 200hp. Some of the machinery I have become competent in operating are jd and Mchale Bailer's, including the fusion, bale wrappers, JD 10 foot mowers and Mchale front and rear mounted 10 foot mowers,slurry agitators, tankers and slurry umbilical system, McConnell fail hedge cutter and wakley mounted saw hedge cutters, also saw hedge cutter on a 12 ton tracker digger, I have spent a great deal of time on these hedge cutters nc dump trailer and tri axle low loader moving a 12 ton tracked digger, which I also drive, along with bales and any other items we require it to transport. Peat Turf cutting is another role I preform, we use dual wheels and very wide and heavy machinery. I have not as much experience with cultivation as it is not a big operation done in my area however Last year I spent 3 months working for a contractor in buckinghamshire and developed my skills on grain carting with 12 to 16 Tom trailers, bale carting with arctic trailers, I also did a lot of cultivating with a claas tracted tractor and a simba solo and rexus cultivators. I have also operated a Kuhn 8' power harrow, landlever, chain harrow, mounted sprayer and seeding barrow. On my home farm I also have a wide range of experience from bale handling to harvesting our own silage with own harvester. We hire a skid steer on a regular basis to dung out cow sheds, tractor front loaders and loaders are also something I have found myself operating. I am also very willing to learn any new skills required

I am approx 5'10", out going, good sense of humour, enjoy a good laugh, but know when to be serious. I am hard working and take pride in my job, I am not afraid of long hours or hard work, I have spent plenty of time operating a brush and a shovel too.

Farming background

From a suckler farm, of approx 80 acres and 30 head of cattle, experience in all to do with general suckler farming. Have worked for an agricultural contractor for the past 14 years, both part and full time. have vast experience on all types of machinery, I pride myself in doing my work to a high standard I also feel I am very cautious yet still able to get work done in a timely manner, I am able to work as part of a team and also can be left on my own to work on my own initiative. I have good workshop experience, all of the equipment used with the contractor is serviced and maintained by the operators with very little work being outsourced. I can also weld and fabericate as it was part of life on the family Farm. I am a fit and healthy person with the ability and willing to learn and develop my skill set further. I am an outgoing person who enjoys the banter the goes on with co workers.


I spend a lot of time on my family farm when I'm not working, I also enjoy socialising with family and friends.
