Farming background

I grew up on dairy farm, worked on sheep farm while at school, contract shepherd when finished school. Shore in New Zealand for 5 seasons returning back to shepherding and beef work out of shearing season.  I started my own shearing business in the UK.  Shepherded pedigree and commercial sheep, shore 10 more seasons over seas; contract fattened ewes for ethnic festivals, eid competent.  Winter grazing 3000 Welsh sheep also contract shepherding for several farmers, contract lambing and calving, also also preparing 2ths for sales.  Returned from New Zealand recently after looking at green crops for wintering stock, looking at grassland systems using native cows (hereford/Angus ) also compensate breeds of rams to preform on forage . I'm passionate on grass based systems, and learning from nz farming grassland producers
