Progressive 650 acre dairy farm, near Ilminster Somerset, requires an experienced tractor driver/general farm worker to work as part of a small team.

We are a family run business milking 400 cows on an autumn calving system, breeding our own replacements. We have invested heavily in our farm over the last few years, with a new Strautmann feeder wagon for this winter, good cattle handling facilities and modern cattle housing.

Key responsibilities will include TMR feeding the dairy herd, fertilising and spraying, cultivations for maize, grass reseeding, general cattle work, machinery maintenance including servicing and fencing.

The suitable candidate would be expected to be a reliable team player with an eye for detail and capable of using their own initiative. There will be the opportunity to develop the position further depending on personal interests. The role offers consistent hours, including alternate weekend work while the cows are housed. We encourage regular time off and a good work life balance. We offer a competitive wage dependent on experience and are keen to continually train and update staff skills either on farm or through outside courses. PA1, PA2 and chainsaw certificates an advantage but not essential.
