Description

The role encompasses a wide variety of tractor work assisting with cereal harvest, bale cart, grass and maize silage, but also dairy related work such as slurry tanking, umbilical spreading and some TMR cattle feeding.

The farm has 2 Autumn-Calving Dairy Herds (both 300 head), as well as associated forage areas. There is also an arable cropping area of over 2,000 acres.

You will be joining a small, experienced team who undertake all of this work in-house on the farm. This role offers a very diverse range of work and is a great opportunity for learning and improving on current skills, suitable for someone looking to build experience.

You will be responsible for your own tractor, we expect clean tidy and well-maintained machines, training will be given. Care for machinery and attention to detail are essential.

What we expect of you:

Basic tractor experience - we expect experience with tractor driving, we can provide training for our large variety of specialist kit

Hard working attitude - long hours are often necessary during the summer period with both dairy and arable tasks, a positive hardworking attitude is vital.

Team player and communication - the right candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to work well within a team. Honesty and co-operation are important.

Telehandler certificate - would be an advantage.
