Tractor Driver/Farm Mechanic required for Contract Farming Business. Job - Gloucestershire

We are a progressive Farming business based in the Cotswold's, looking to recruit a Tractor Driver/Farm Mechanic to expand our existing arable team.

This enterprise forms part of a large farming business that involves dairy, beef, sheep and arable. The business is progressive in its thinking, following the principles of conservation agriculture including establishing herbal leys across the various enterprises to promote soil health, and integrating these into the arable rotation.

The right candidate will have strong tractor driving experience, and be confident in operating a range of farm machinery. This includes driving the drilling tractor at busy times of the year. PA1, 2 and 4 also Telehandler certificates would be an advantage. Full UK driving licence is essential.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of a wide range of farm machinery, vehicles and implements. We are looking for someone with very good mechanical ability and a high attention to detail.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual, who has the ability to prioritise their own workload. Enthusiasm and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

We are an expanding forward looking farming business. This role would suit someone with good mechanical skills and interest in modern farming systems. You would be working as part of a team of four on the arable side of the business.
