A contract is available for an enthusiastic person with livestock and machinery skills on a large mainly grassland farm. The farm comprises of a 250 cow suckler herd, finishing calves in 18 months with some arable and lambs fattened over winter.

 The operation will house up to 1000 head of stock at a peak and fattening is on a forage based system.

With an emphasis on initiative, responsibility and attention to detail the successful applicant will work with a complete range of up to date equipment; responsibilities will include:

• Mechanised complete diet feeding of all stock throughout the year.


•  Performance monitoring, general vet/med and livestock duties.


• Taking a leading role with silage harvesting and grassland operations
