Three generations of the B*** family have farmed R**** Farm, and the family have recently invested in P****** Farm, just a 20 minute drive away, both are family run working farms. This exciting new opportunity has allowed us to start doubling our beef, sheep and pig numbers. All stock is finished on farm, and the majority sold through our on-site Farm Shop and Cafe. Each farm has approximately 300acres of farmable land, with an extra 100 acres of local summer grazing agreements.
We are open to the public year round located just 3 miles east of Swindon, on the Wiltshire and Oxfordshire border. Our Visitor Centre opened in 1992 to welcome people of ages to come and experience and learn about animals, farming and the countryside. We opened a successful farm shop in 2017 where all the beef, lamb, pork and goat is reared at Roves and Pidnell. Pidnell Farm is historically a dairy farm and we are in the process of adapting it for our beef Sussex Suckler herd, sheep and pigs.
We currently have
•125 Pedigree Sussex suckler cows and followers
•350 breeding ewes and followers. 80-100 Poll Dorsets lamb in January and the remaining Continentals lamb in April.
•25 Gloucester Old Spot sows plus progeny
