Description

This role would mainly be working with our sheep flocks - we run 600 ewes, and 3000 store lambs over winter. Whilst also running 300 suckler cows. This role would carry the responsibility of the day to day care and welfare of the stock. You will be expected to work individually and make your own decisions, whilst also working as part of a team. You will be left to work individually at times to carry out work on the sheep with jobs such as, Weighing, vaccinating, feet trimming, selecting sheep for market, lambing, fencing and general shepherd duties, So good initiative and attention to detail are important. As well as work with the sheep, you will be expected to help out with the cattle with jobs such as, feeding/bedding up, worming/vaccinating, mucking out, tractor driving and general stockperson work.

This role would suit somebody with experience and eagerness to learn more, it is a exciting opportunity with the chance of responsibilities and progression.
