An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to help manage a flock of 500 NCM and NCM cross breeding sheep, as well as assisting with the general farm work on a clients educational livestock unit which also includes around 130 milking cows, 80 followers, and small-scale poultry enterprises. Growing 200 ha of grass and forage crops.
Previous experience with sheep and livestock husbandry is a requirement for this role as well as competent driving and operation of tractors. A current UK driving licence is essential.
This role would suit a person who considers themselves to be an allrounder, is good with people and livestock alike and has an interest in developing their character and knowledge.
Ideally, you will be a confident team player who is patient and flexible, with the capacity to take on various responsibilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to manage daily issues and support the team.
