Due to retirement, we are looking to recruit a new member of the young and energetic team to take on a diverse role.
With 350 suckler cows, 1200 ewes and a handful of outdoor pigs, the farm also grow cereals and pulses for direct end users and plans to increase all of these enterprises.
Practicing regenerative techniques, the farming system is not only organic, but also PFLA beef and lamb, mob grazed cattle and utilising green manures and direct drilling to improve soil health.
The role provides the opportunity to develop new skills and grow with the expanding enterprises while training will be ongoing.
In addition, the role includes maintenance of the estate with an established team who are adept at fencing, plumbing, ditching, building work, landscaping etc.
The successful candidate will;
Have a minimum of 5 years practical experience of machinery and livestock.
Have a keen interest to learn and bring new ideas.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain accurate records and work within the parameters of the farming system
Thrive on variation and display a keen eye for detail and tidiness.
Maintain machinery and equipment to a high standard
Have excellent communication skills and be an ambassador for the estate.
