Description

A seasonal position is available to join a small Mid/North Lincolnshire family farm/contracting team from mid March to mid October for someone interested in both arable machinery & sheep. We specialise in direct drilling, harvesting & conservation agriculture techniques. Main duties include operating the sprayer nurse tank, loading grain lorries, cleaning grain stores, leading muck & spreading, rolling, low disturbance subsoiling & stubble raking. Harvest work includes; hauling with tractor & trailer from the chaser bin, loading stores/pushing up & grassland work including raking & bale leading, there is also some shepherding & fencing work (stock & 3 strand). A candidate with telehandler training is preferred. There is a lot of road work between farms, so a calm sensible approach, a clean licence and a willingness to work on our other farm enterprises including our diversification - making deliveries to customers with refrigerated vans, between busier work periods is welcomed.
