Description

Whos up for a Highland sheep adventure?

We are looking for an additional hill shepherd to help our new head shepherd and his team take on the challenge of working over 5,000 BF ewes spread over 30,000 acres of spectacular mountains and glens on a low input system. Its like being on a NZ sheep station, but without the hassle of a long flight!

•We are in the process of modernising the farming enterprise and are looking to take the

best from the past and make it better with whats available today.

So youll need good traditional hill gathering, sheep husbandry, shearing and ATV skills. Also be open to learning digital data entry, health/ performance monitoring and agri-enviro scheme implementation.

•In the future well be splitting our 18 hefts into 3 blocks and each shepherd will manage

the day to day work on their own patch. Are you up for that?

•Theres also a heard of hill suckler cows. So cattle, tractor driving and hand fencing

skills would be useful.

•Hill dogs, fitness, drivers licence, positive open attitude & right to work in UK are essential.

•Package includes a new cottage with all services/ tax covered & competitive rates of pay.
