We have a new vacancy for a herdsperson on a family farm southwest of Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The 300-cow autumn calving herd is milked through a modern 25/50 parlour which was completed in 2018. 

The crossbred cows are housed on cubicles and fed a TMR ration in the winter and grazed during the summer months producing a herd average of 8,000 litres. 

Additional recent investment includes new buildings and improved cow tracks, resulting in an excellent well-managed unit.

We are looking for an experienced person to take on most of the daily milkings along with some scraping and other general farm tasks. Attention to detail is vitally important, along with a love of cows.
