An exciting opportunity has arisen on our progressive dairy farm on the outskirts of Chester, Cheshire.

Our dairy farming business is situated over 3 farms, each with high standards of welfare. We milk 1000 cows, twice a day on a grazing-based system, which means cows are out at grass from February to October. Calving is split between Spring and Autumn.

You will be working in tidy conditions alongside a good team.

The role will be split between two of the farms.

This is a varied role, with a range of responsibilities.

Duties to include:

Milking on a 50-point rotary & 20/40 herringbone

Grazing management for cows and youngstock

General stock management

General tractor work

Assisting others in the team to complete tasks as required

Ongoing & further training will be provided.

Working Hours: 5:30am Start 6pm Finish. 1hr for Breakfast 1 hrs for Lunch

Every other weekend off work (12 days on, 2 days off)

Holidays: 24 days holiday. Alternate Bank Holidays worked. Christmas/New Year is shared.

A 3-bedroom house (council tax free) is provided, which is situated between the two farms and is close to local amenities.

Salary: 25,000 35,000K dependant on experience and willingness.

This role would suit someone that is keen, hard working with good attention to detail and most importantly enjoys working outdoors.

Animal welfare is a priority, so being calm and considerate towards livestock is a must.

Full UK Driving License essential.

Prior farming experience desirable.
