We are looking for a Herdsperson to join the team near Holmes Chapel in Cheshire

The Farm:

• 216 ha all grass organic dairy farm.


• 310 Late summer/autumn calving block


• Good grazing infrastructure /Winter housed on sawdust cubicles


• 160 replacements reared on farm


• 28/28 Alpha Laval milking parlour


• Arla organic milk contract


• The team includes 3 full time members

The role:

• Proven experience in all aspects of herd management


• A good understanding of grass- based systems


• Good communication skills, ability to work with the team and report to the farm owner


• Experience in AI and footcare


• Experience in record keeping


• Proven ability to ensure milk hygiene standards
