We have an exciting opportunity for a self motivated and ambitious individual to join a small team on a pasture based Autumn block calving dairy farm in South Devon. We are milking 380 xbred cows through a 44 point Milfos rotary. The farm is in its fifth season so all the facilities are modern and very efficient.

We have a happy and social team and encourage participation in discussion groups and support everyone in career progression.

We are looking for someone who can work independently but also within a team. We aim to complete work to a high standard in a positive, friendly working environment. Maintaining a tight calving block and maximising the potential of our grazing platform are two of the many key areas the successful applicant would be involved in.

Responsibilities are likely to include:

• Daily milking


• Calf and heifer rearing


• Heat detection (collars in place to aid this)


• Calving


• All aspects associated with the health and well being of the herd

Other duties such as basic tractor/telehandler driving, feeding, bedding, fencing and maintenance will provide variety to the role.

Applicant must have some agricultural experience, but further training can be provided.

Pay will be dependent on experience but will not be a limiting factor.
