Herdsperson to join our team in Wells, Somerset on our modern, progressive cow focused family farm. Due to previous staff progression.

We are currently milking 220 cows through modern herringbone parlour. Auto ID, footbath and segregation.

Job role will involve, but not exclusively:

• Day to day cow management


• Milking, cows feet, relief Ai


• Responsibility for cleanliness in dairy and parlour


• Medicine administration and recording


• Team management alongside Farmer


• Ability to take on more responsibility when farmer away

We are looking for an experienced, self motivated, enthusiastic, cow focused, punctual candidate. Who works cleanly and conscientiously and is passionate about achieving high levels of animal performance and welfare.

Extra training can be given and the farm works closely with the vets.

Good rates of pay offered dependent on past experience.
