We are looking for an experienced herdsman to manage the day to day running of the beef enterprise.

The enterprise consists of 700 beef cattle from calves to finishing which are rotationally grazed on grass and herbal leys in summer and grazed on fodder beet and stubble turnips in winter.

The candidate will also be expected to help out with the arable and pig enterprise.

The successful candidate must have:

• A keen eye for detail


• Knowledge of calf rearing


• The knowledge of grass management including grazing and silage making


• Plan grazing rotations


• Be able to work on their own and with the wider team


• Good knowledge of animal husbandry


• Able to set fences etc


• Able to use modern tractors, loaders and UTV


• Excellent recording skills for audits

The job requires every other weekend to be worked
