Description

Family run 1300ac farm based in North Cambridgeshire growing Potatoes, Sugar Beet and Cereals.

We are preferably looking for someone that is willing to muck in and be a team player.

 

The job role will be varied throughout the season and will include, but not be limited to:


  • Primary and secondary cultivations

  • Ploughing

  • Drilling/Planting

  • Fertiliser spreading

  • Compost/FYM spreading

  • Irrigation

  • Drainage

  • Working in the potato pack house

Opportunity for relief combine and potato harvester operation for someone with the right attitude and experience.

 

The applicant:


  • Must be a team player; happy to learn from more experienced colleagues and assist/teach less experienced colleagues

  • Must be competent with modern agricultural machinery including GPS systems; preferably RTK Greenstar

  • Must be competent enough in the workshop to carry out routine maintenance and repairs

  • Ideally be a competent welder/fabricator

  • Be happy to put on a pair of gloves and help on the potato grading line when required

  • Hold a full driving licence

 

It would be an advantage if an applicant already held:


  • Telehandler ticket

  • Counterbalance forklift ticket

  • PA1, PA2, PA4S&G
