This role requires a team player who is adaptable and very flexible in regard to working hours during peak season and has basic equipment knowledge. This is a varied role and offers the successful candidate a wide variety of jobs throughout the year.

Main roles will include the cultivation work planting 550 acres of potatoes and 40 acres of beetroot that the company grows, followed with the growing of the crops. Fertiliser top dressing and irrigation along with maintenance and regular time off follow the planting season. Harvest commences for the root crops in August and provides work through the autumn with produce being sent straight to factory and some into the 5,500 tonnes of storage we have. Winter work consists of maintenance in our heated workshop and store emptying plus again regular time off.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team who has a keen interest in agriculture and is looking to take on the challenges of working in the root crop sector of farming. We offer a good rate of pay with overtime and holiday pay dependent on ability, training is provided for anyone wanting to progress within our business.
