We are seeking part-time data collection contractors in Yorkshire to help with in-field data collection as part of ongoing sustainability projects tracking regenerative agricultural practices in agrifood supply chains.
Responsibilities:
- Travelling to local designated areas of interest and collecting crop type information
- Following a simple protocol to document the required type of data per field
- Logging the information for each field on a mobile device using an easy to use app
- Contact with the farmers is not required as the data is collected from the roadside
- Uploading data daily.
Requirements:
- Travel may be required to farms in your assigned region, which will be determined based on your geographic location
- An iPhone/Android phone or tablet to run our data collection app
- A valid drivers license
- Your own car to travel to the assigned location
- Experience working in agriculture to a level where you can reliably and confidently identify major crops.
Timeline:
- This work will take place from May to June 2022
- The work is flexible to your schedule as you choose the number of hours and when you work but a minimum of 8 hours per week availability is preferred
- We estimate that 10-15 full days of work will be available per collector.
Salary:
- Employment is contract based
- Payment will be made per data point collected
- The average payment for a full day (8 hours) of data collection is £200 plus expenses
- Lunch is covered at £10 per full 8 hour day
- Mileage is covered at the standard rate of £0.45 per mile.
