Person required to assist farm owner/manager in the day to day running of all farm operations. We are a high-health gilt growing unit, you would be required to scrape, bed down and complete daily checks, plus loading and unloading of stock on a weekly basis. In addition, you would need to be able to complete tanker work, load muck & use a telehandler or tractor for general farm tasks. The farm also runs a growing firewood and biomass business, you would be require to assist with loading of biomass boilers & kilns, processing of cored wood, delivery of firewood to customers. Most operations on the farm for both the pigs and firewood are done by machine.

An excellent opportunity for the right person, working on a small but diverse farm. Experience with telehandler and tractors essential, plus full clean UK driving license. Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, in a shift pattern to include some weekend working. Experience with livestock is essential, but does not need to be pigs as this can be taught. A keen worker, able to adapt to a varied role with good time keeping essential.

Excellent rate of pay available, inc. 28 days paid holiday (inc. statutory) and a pension if required.
