Job Vacancy: Farm & Estate Operations Manager

Located in East Berkshire, we are principally a 350ha combinable crop arable farm with increasing amounts of diversification focusing on sustainability, rural property, and alternative land uses all aligned with our vision of:

The Role:


  • Full time employee required to lead all farm machinery operations & maintenance, and help organise and implement estate & property repairs and upkeep.

  • We are looking for someone who is keen to integrate themselves into our business, bringing a positive attitude and good practical skills to maintain our high standards and help develop all our enterprises.

 

Qualifications - The Candidate will possess most of the following:


  • Further education in Agriculture or similar

  • Full driving licence

  • PA1, PA2, PA4s, PA6 Certificates and experience

  • Telehandler Certificate

  • GPS operation familiarity and general IT competency

  • Experience operating and maintaining all modern arable machinery

  • Workshop skills

  • Chainsaw experience and certificates

  • Estate maintenance experience water networks, fencing, hedging

  • Health & Safety + First Aid Training

  • Management / Supervision experience

Remuneration / Contract:


  • Attractive accommodation available in a lovely location and close to great schools.

  • Salary package negotiable commensurate with experience and accommodation requirement. Anticipated range: £37,500 - £52,500

  • Employer contributing pension scheme (NEST)

  • Initial contract of 12 months with 3 months probationary period

  • 39 hours per week, 5 days a week with modest seasonal overtime requirement (e.g. spring spraying season + harvest and autumn planting)

  • Holiday entitlement minimum 28 days including bank holidays

  • Continued personal development and training
