Description

We have a new venture integrating livestock (predominantly our beef X calves from our dairy herd), into a large diverse arable estate. This involves 365 day grazing using regenerative priciples of mob-grazing diverse pastures in summer and cover-crops in winter. Cattle are 100% forage fed (PFLA), we are also looking to potentially integrate sheep and/or pastured poultry for example in future. Total head of stock will be over 500 this year, comprising approx 250 1-2 year olds and 250 spring born calves.

The skys the limit in terms of potential in this role; extensive training can be given and we will help you develop. Candidates with demonstrable competence will be given high levels of responsibilty and in future will be given the opportunity to invest in the business (own stock) and/or introduce new enterprises. We are also looking to vertically integrate so skills in marketing and social media for example will be important to us.

You may be well qualified with extensive experience, or completly green but with loads of ethusiasm and passion to learn. The role and level of resposibility can be tailored to you as you progress. But we do ask for reliability, an open mind, a good sense of humour and you must be physically fit. Whilst we would prefer a permanent role, we would consider a longer-term temporary role (ideally min 6 months) and we are happy to consider candidates from overseas. Sporting/social interaction encouraged; close links with local Cricket, Rugby, Hockey club, Local Hunt. Horse riding available too. Plenty of work available for a partner (livestock, childcare, marketing/sales, hospitality in particular) Farm vehicle can be available.
