Beef Herdsperson - High Genetic Pedigree Angus Herd - Aberdeenshire
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated herdsperson to undertake the day to day management and care of a 170 cow suckler herd of pedigree Angus cows plus followers. The farm, part of a wider farming and countryside estate, is situated between Laurencekirk and Stonehaven and close to the A90 trunk road. A stunning area of North East Scotland in the fertile belt of land between the Cairngorm mountains and the North Sea coast.
The role would entail all aspects of husbandry, managing the spring calving season, fertility work, health and welfare, feeding, grazing management, vet visits, daily record keeping and general stock tasks enquiring the highest standards of welfare are achieved whilst maximising daily live weight gain.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, be passionate and dedicated to the animals in their care and enjoy the responsibility of the role, taking ownership and pride in the animals they produce.
