Assistant Herdsperson required on a modern dairy/mixed organic farm in West Wales.
Become part of an enthusiastic team looking after 270 spring-calving milking cows. We have a grass-based system with cows out for most of the year. We have a herd of predominantly FriesianxJersey cows milked through a 20:40 milfos swingover parlour.
Duties to include milking, stock checking, yardwork in the winter and landwork in the summer.
Enthusiasm and commitment is just as important as experience! Potential for a couple as there is extra work required around calving in the spring, landwork in the summer and assistance at weekends.
