Looking for an experienced milker who is also interested in doing some general farm work, for a full time position on a mixed family run dairy farm.

The farm milks 300 Holstein cows through a 14/28 swing over parlour and calves all year round. We rear all our own replacements and fatten out the beef calves. In addition, we grow 450 acres of combinable crops to feed our stock and to sell.

The farm handles most operations in house (i.e. silaging, harvesting, etc), so in the summer there is a range of tractor work to be done as well as the routine milking and livestock work. Experience with tractors is not necessary, we are happy to further train people up. However, dairy herd experience is essential. Rates of pay will vary according to experience.
